We had a great turn out at O'Loughlin's for the end of summer bash; 22 in all (if I missed anyone, my apologies!). Although the weather threatened and we had some rain drops, it turned out well with a comfortable temperature and tables under the canopy on the deck.

We had a good discussion on how we could make these gatherings a bit more interesting to attract those who aren't really into the bar scene. We are open to other venues such as sporting or music events at reasonable costs or even other participative activities.

So, if anyone has any ideas that a big group of old friends and aquaintances could do together, please feel free to let us know ANY and ALL of your ideas. You can contact me directly, or leave a message for us right here in this forum and we can see if we can try something a bit different from time to time.

That being said, we do still plan on a restaurant/bar get together or two at holiday time; most likely Thanksgiving weekend and in the Christmas - New Years holiday so we can catch the out of towners coming in to see family.

Anyone planning on coming to town around the holidays, please let me or us know and we can see about getting something going to accomodate the visitors!

In the mean time, please keep those get together ideas coming and we can try some different things to do together!

Thanks Mike for, yet again, recapping our evening. 

I heard talk that night of gathering at a bowling alley...RAY?, where are ya???  Also, some mentioned gathering at a park with a pavilion.  Both cases would probably be more welcoming to spouses/partners attending.
