Although The Boss (Beth) counted 24, there were others who estimated 30ish attending. Either way, a great party!

I began the evening by picking up Steve O and had the best business meeting ever (we work together occasionally). We came up with some great work solutions over several Hops Devils (too bad i can't remember those ideas now!). Jere and John Hart and Gary Jones arrived and we had fish fries; Steve O promptly went MIA....

John Hart, Esq, seems to be changing careers to PhD, psychology; he presented a most interesting theory into the DOMS (dirty old man syndrome). Apparently, men's eyes stop aging at 20, which gives them the illusion that the 20 year-young ladies they are admiring are admiring them back! (well, he IS new to this psych gig!).

First timers Al Kerstein and Elaine Hetrick Kruppenbacher. Al got me a Jack and coke that went down tooo smooth, and we bragged to each other about our kids, and remembered a few crazy times we had. We discussed Al’s eclectic musical tastes especially his FB post of James Kent’s orchestrated Orange Blossom Special.

I was saddened that Elaine did not remember “The God Squad”. Maybe John Hart could refresh her memory (or mine!) on this issue. Elaine and Wass discussed the possibilities in breaking out the Harleys for late winter snow cruising. Jere admonished me for telling Elaine that she looked “pretty good” ( it was intended as complimentary, but I wound up having to extricate a lower appendage from my mouth!).

Janet Marzec Graves commented that the busy tax season had taken an unexpected lull, and on the joys of working out; I responded on the joys of NOT working out!

The always smiling Sherri Cohn Licata described the wonders of living in Webster village; especially the proximity to Murph’s.

Tina Thompson Karol gave me a big hello as we crossed in the crowd, as did Jim Troicke and his wife!

I complimented Wendy Cortese on keeping Wass out of trouble! We also mentioned Wass’s “art” cell phone messages!

Dave Buckpitt got me laughing as I ate dinner with John Hart, Jere, and Gary Jones, but I can’t for the life of me remember why.

Jere played the musical sounds of his 40 Buick’s (Modene) newly rebuilt straight 8! Jere’s neighbor Rich was REALLY enjoying himself and talked of Mennonites building his new home. Sadly it’s away from Jere. And of course he spoke fondly of his very friendly dog.

Gina Muto Lovullo has a new restaurant gig, and we laughed at her friend Nigel Heaton’s old jokes.

Ray Lecesse told us of  “seeweed icky” and we discussed way-past adventures of running into the police during late night extra vehicular activities.

Cathy Carruthers let me know the next day that on the way home she remembered the name of the bar in Stutson Plaza that we couldn’t remember was JJ Daltons. And her mother is STILL indecisive on whether to move here or not.

And the Xerox association attendees of Phil Parcells (his co does business with X), Ray’s lady Eileen Karlson, Steve O, Rob Jonas (happened to be there with another party), and I, solved all the company’s ills and observed a moment of silence for the CEO appearing at the state of the union address.

The night for me ended with The Boss (Beth), telling Ray, Eileen, and me a sad and somewhat disturbing story relayed by Brother Wease concerning some gory details of a certain procedure performed only on men. Why she chose to tell us of this is still a mystery, but that's to be discovered next time!

Aloha; see y'all at the next one!
