Saw your question and it bothered me as well. If I remember correctly she was just a kind and quiet person. I searched around and found this. (I'll really feel stupid for posting it if it is someone else, but it just seems to fit)

Doesn't answer all you questions but it gives some insight to what she did while she could.
Leslie Clarke died of breast cancer. She and I were part of a 'Twig Group' which volunteered time and talents to raise money for Rochester General Hospital. She had been living in Penfield.
I was sad to see this as well. I remember Leslie as such a nice, sweet person with a genuine smile. We had loads of fun together in high school between the swim team and the synchronized swim club. She swam the breaststroke on the swim team and was Honorable Mention All County her senior year. We did the Mexican Hat Dance and a Circus number together in the annual Swim Club shows. She was truly a sweetheart.
Thank you all for your comments. Ray, thank you for finding her obituary. We grew up together on the same street and while we lost touch over the years, she was always a part of my childhood memories.
Just found this site. Leslie was a childhood friend of mine, too. Our second grade teacher had trouble telling us apart. We went to the same church, so I got updates re her after I moved away. Very sad she died so young. She was a nice person.
What a warm, generous and kind girl she was. We did not spend alot of time together, but were in the same youth group at church and I remember doing things together there. She had such a fun smile. I am sure she was great with special needs children. She is missed.

Does anyone know how and when Leslie died?
