RIP Ron Celli:

I will always remember the endless games of Whiffle Ball that you and Mike played with Dan and me in the backyard of our house at 192 Rogers Parkway around 1962-1964.  You were the first to hit a homer over the fence and were my hero.  And I will never forget the foxhole we dug in the backyard which was deeper than our heights, as we were digging a hole to find China....and in which you and Mike dragged some excess roofing material from your father's business, which covered the foxhole, as we played GI Joe. I pray that you are now reunited with Mike and your parents in heaven.  Say hello to Dan when you see him and get another game started.

Ron got me my first job as a busboy at the Irondequoit Town Lounge. I remember him as a natural athlete, good at everything he played. Rest in peace, Ron.

what a tremendous loss. I think Ron was one of the most well liked kids at Irondequoit high school. So sad. I hope Ron had many joyful moments in his life. I didn't see him much past high school and only talked to him once I believe when he was at Alfred Tech. Rest in peace, Ron. You had many friends

I lived on Daley Blvd until I was 7. Rons house was a short walk away. I must have met Ron in kindergarten at Parkside. He taught me how to play catch, mostly in my back yard. He was patient with me - more than my father was - and more than most kids would be. I will forever be grateful. RIP Ron.
