So very sorry to hear this news. I recently had the pleasure of seeing her when she refinanced at ESL in the spring and talked and got her phone number. I had invited her to a party I was having and she told me of her illness. She was a kind sweet soul. May she Rest In Peace

This is a message that Debbie posted to her Facebook page back on September 3rd.
Dear Family, Friends, Divas and all those I love…
As most of you know, my life journey has changed. I retired in Jan of 2021 with hopes of traveling to visit family all over the country without worry of MONDAY…. I had hopes of riding carefree with my
Divas wherever and whenever we wanted. However, on May 31st, 2021 what I feared was a heart attack actually revealed liver cancer.
My oncologist’s had hoped to decrease the tumor size and perform a liver transplant. However treatment was unsuccessful in reducing the tumor. I am currently receiving immunotherapy and chemotherapy infusions every three weeks. Doctors will be accessing my progress and response to this current treatment plan through an MRI November 1st.
As you may notice my recent pictures reveal weight loss (40lbs)…See I was RIGHT when I always said “We need a little EXTRA weight”…. Thank God for the days of overeating all that pasta! Believe it or not… now I can barely eat!
I am writing this to those of you I love but may not see everyday to inform you and keep you updated. I’ll do my best to respond to your texts and calls when I’m feeling well. For those few I am able to see regularly, thank you for making a difference in my daily life. Prayers appreciated… Love and blessings to you all.

I am so sorry to hear about Debbie's passing. I had not seen her in a number of years. I had very fond memories of Debbie in high school. We were both in art classes together and I remember that she was very encouraging and supportive of me continuing on with my artistic endeavors. Just a nice, sweet person.

I always thought how much Debbie resembled the beautiful women in the paintings of Botticelli. Lovely smile and personality.

The best way to describe Debbie is carefree, spirited and lovely. I didn't really see her after IHS, but a casual run in at some store or so. Here's a woman who never had a mean bone in her body. But, I'm sure she was fierce riding that motorcycle. Hope your up there riding with the Angels Debbie. Rest in Peace you beautiful woman.
